put a bird on it
I decided to play with a mid-century illustration style since I’ve been using the mid-century brush set almost non-stop. I freaking LOVE birds with “cheeks”. I honestly can’t handle how cute it is. I think it’s why I love putting cheeks on the subjects in my work.
This red-cheeked cordonbleu was inspired by an Instagram post by the Bloedel Conservatory here in Vancouver. I haven’t been there yet but I definitely need to take myself on an artist date there soon. I just realized this is my second time writing about them yet I haven't been there, and that’s weird! I think I’ll go next week.
